If you’re looking for a community hall rental in Lake Country, a flexible Okanagan wedding venue, or a welcoming place to host a celebration, meeting, market, concert or retreat, allow us to introduce the Oyama Community Club.
Located at 15710 Oyama Road in Lake Country, BC, the Oyama Community Club is more than a rental venue. It is a historic gathering place, a home for local events and a space that has brought people together for generations.

A Community Gathering Place Since 1914
The Oyama Community Hall officially opened on January 23, 1914, on land generously donated by Frank Rayburn.
More than a century later, the hall continues to serve its original purpose: creating a place where people can gather, connect and build community.
Today, the Oyama Community Club is operated by a dedicated group of volunteers. Together, our members, volunteers, sponsors and community partners help care for the hall and surrounding grounds while organizing events that celebrate the people, businesses and character of Oyama.
From Oyama Fun Day and Turkey Bingo to concerts, community socials, clean-up days and private celebrations, the OCC continues to be a place where memories are made.

What Makes the Oyama Community Club Unique?
A Beautiful Location Between Two Lakes
Oyama is located on the isthmus between Kalamalka Lake and Wood Lake, making the Oyama Community Club a particularly scenic event venue in Lake Country.
The hall is located across from Wood Lake and approximately one minute from Kaloya Regional Park on Kalamalka Lake. These nearby natural spaces provide beautiful options for wedding photographs, group activities and outdoor adventures.
The venue is also approximately 20 minutes from Kelowna International Airport, making it convenient for guests travelling from Kelowna, Vernon and throughout the Okanagan Valley.

Flexible Indoor and Outdoor Event Spaces
One of the advantages of renting the Oyama Community Club is the ability to choose a space that fits your event.

The Main Hall can accommodate up to 297 guests and includes a large stage, tables and chairs, accessible washroom facilities and access to a full commercial kitchen. Its size and flexibility make it well suited to:
Weddings and receptions
Concerts and live performances
Markets and craft fairs
Dances and celebrations
Sports and recreational activities
Fundraisers
Corporate retreats
Large community gatherings
The smaller Memorial Hall can accommodate up to 110 guests. It includes tables and chairs, washroom facilities, air conditioning and an adjoining kitchen with a stove, refrigerator and freezer.
The Memorial Hall is a comfortable option for:
Birthday parties
Meetings and workshops
Children’s activities
Classes
Family gatherings
Breakout sessions
Smaller celebrations
A basic PA system, projector and screen are also available to rent for events.

Space for Weekend Events and Larger Gatherings
For events requiring more room, the full-property rental option provides access to both halls, the recreation field, on-site parking, outdoor areas and nine camping spaces.
The camping area is available with a building rental, allowing families and groups to turn a reunion, retreat, wedding or special event into a full weekend gathering.
Tables and chairs are included with hall rentals, helping make event planning and setup a little easier.

An Okanagan Wedding Venue with Room to Make It Your Own
The Oyama Community Club is a flexible Lake Country wedding venue for couples who want the freedom to create a celebration that feels like them.
The property offers indoor and outdoor ceremony options, space for large or intimate receptions, a commercial kitchen, a stage, a bridal suite or children’s area, nearby lake scenery and the option to rent the entire property.
Rather than fitting your celebration into a predetermined format, the hall provides a versatile foundation that can be transformed to suit your wedding style, guest list and plans.
Its central Okanagan location also makes the OCC accessible for guests travelling from Kelowna, Vernon and surrounding communities.

More Than a Lake Country Rental Venue
Rental income helps the Oyama Community Club maintain the hall and grounds so they can continue benefiting residents and visitors for years to come.
When you rent the OCC, attend a community event, purchase a membership, volunteer, sponsor a program or make a donation, you are helping preserve an important part of Oyama’s history while supporting its future.
That community connection is what makes the OCC special. It isn’t simply a building available for rent—it is a place that belongs to the community and continues to evolve alongside it.
